Kinako Mochi Recipe

Ingredients
For the Mochi
- 1 cup glutinous rice flour
- ¾ cup water
- 2 tbsp sugar
For the Kinako Coating
- 3 tbsp kinako (roasted soybean powder)
- 1 tbsp sugar
- A pinch of salt
Steps
- Mix glutinous rice flour, sugar, and water in a bowl until smooth.
- Microwave or cook the mixture on low heat until it becomes thick and sticky.
- Let the mochi cool slightly, then shape into small bite-sized pieces.
- In another bowl, mix kinako, sugar, and salt.
- Coat the warm mochi pieces evenly with the kinako mixture.
- Serve immediately while soft and chewy.
